Demain nous appartient
It is extremely important for certain people in the Anglo community and, apparently, Stephen Gordon, that the separation between the Québécois and the Others remain as hermetically sealed as possible. This is because the moment “Québécois” means a civil society instead of an ethnicity, it become very problematic to justify all the separate Anglo institutions.
Of course, it is not acceptable in polite society to argue the separateness of the Anglo race anymore, so they argue the reverse: The French think this, the French think that, the Québécois define themselves as this or that.
Of course, this what THEY think and in no way represents what the Québécois think.
“Anglo-Saxons ! you must live for the future. Your blood and race will now be supreme, if true to yourselves. ” -A Montreal Gazette Editorial, 1849
